Happy birthday, Gorgeous!

Well, here is a little post to celebrate Gorgeous' birthday! As I explained on my Twitter, she is the oldest Angel I know exactly when I opened her, and she is a little miracle, 'cause I very nearly didn't get her.

Two years ago today, I was eleven years old, and in my last year of primary school. I had just been invited to the birthday party of one of my then best friends, Megan. Megan, just like me and one of my other best friends, Mollie, was a Bratz collector. She told me, a few days before the party, she had one Angel, the blue-blanket Secret Surprise she named Jade. I went to Toys 'R' Us the Saturday before the party (it was being held on a Friday), and bought the green-blanket secret surprise. I wanted to buy her the orange one, but my mum told me to get her the green. Mollie, meanwhile, bought her the cream one (it was originally going to be the yellow, but the shop she went to didn't have it).

I told Mollie, via text, which one I had bought Megan, and I'm so glad I did. Mollie replied: 'She already has the green one, and the blue and purple ones' (well, I don't remember the exact words, but they were to that effect). I asked my mum what to do, as, by this point it was well into the week, and as my mum is a headteacher, she was unable to go shopping after school with me. The only thing we could do was to send my brother Tom out to get a HMV voucher, as a replacement present. This, of course, left a green-blanket Secret Surprise, that both Mollie and Megan had.

My mum said what, secretly, I had been hoping to hear the whole time: 'you can keep it'. I was running round, so excited. I opened her up that day, and named her Sofia Millie, Gorgeous for short. I'll always be thankful for everything that happened around those times, and sometimes, I wonder if Gorgeous was always intended for me, I just never knew it. She was welcomed into my Angelz family with no problems, and, now, I just view her as 'one of the gang'. And that is precisely what she is. I love all my Angelz equally, I have been asked, many, many times, to choose a favourite, but I could never do it. They are like my kids, they are all equal, and they all deserve to be loved equally, no matter what was done to receive them (the very nightmare-ish task of teaching my grandma to use eBay (Hero), waiting to receive a parcel from the US through a postal strike (Mariah), a trip to Spain (several), just to mention a few things over the years).

Thanks for reading Gorgeous' very loooooooooooooong story, this is probably the longest post I've ever made on either of my blogs! I now really need to go to bed now, so, goodnight Bloggers! More updates soon.
