Debbie

I now have my 110th Angel, Debbie. I spent ages trying to choose her name; Debbie was actually one of my first thoughts, but I considered so many, and was really struggling to make a final choice. It's a problem I haven't really had with the others this year. I'm questioning why: maybe because it's been a while since I got an Angel, and I knew realistically it may be quite some time before the next one (although I do now have an unexpected one on the way!), so I was feeling the pressure to choose the "perfect" name. Also, I frequently think of some of the Angelz, particularly the ones in the main sets, and pick out names for them in advance of me ever getting them. However, I hadn't chosen one for this Angel. Just before she arrived, I realised I had to make a decision and stick to it, so I went for Debbie, as it was a name I kept coming back to.

Wow, that was a lot of writing about her name! I'll now describe how I found her. Increasingly, the only way Angelz are listed is as parts of larger bundles, usually with other Bratz of varying sizes. These listings don't generally include any pets, so are only really useful for Sweet Scentz, which actually show up surprisingly often. To be fair, they do make up about 10% of all the Angelz. This is indeed how Debbie came to be mine: she is a Sweet Scentz Cloe, who was part of a fair-sized Bratz bundle. The bundle actually included another Angel, although that one was a duplicate of one I already had.

I was so excited to finally get another Angel after a long gap that I don't mind that she's another Cloe. I do now have 25 of them, which is officially more than half (of 49). I have been getting lots of Cloes since I resumed collecting, but I'm sure in the future there will be a phase of no Cloes.

Such a sweet little face.

She did come with a few marks on her, which didn't really come off after washing, but that's ok. Considering she must be about 8 years old, and I don't know her history, I'm lucky to have her in one piece!

This is a good picture of her (although it does show staining on her left fingers).

This looks a bit weird, but it shows the donut on her outfit, proving she is a Sweet Scentz! She actually does still have the donutty smell, even after washing!

Here is Debbie with the Maribel that was also part of the bundle. I will try and do another post about her later.

Debbie with Tara.

These two may be the same character, and have the same hairstyle, but they actually look quite different. The most obvious thing is Debbie has metallic hair, and Tara does not. Looking at all my Cloes, about half of them have metallic hair, and there's no real pattern: some older ones (by release) have it, and some of the newest ones too (in fact, Debbie is the newest!). There are other minor differences in their lip colour, skin tone and faces, but that shows the variation in these (supposedly simple) dolls.

Wow, that turned into an essay! I'll finish with one last picture of my 18/19 Sweet Scentz:

Maribel, Cayley, Gemma and Debbie.

I will be back very soon, with my 111th Angel - another Sweet Scentz!
